Challenge:
The project site contained an old abandoned water well located
within the building footprint. Constructing directly over the well posed
a significant risk of uneven settlement and reduced foundation
stability. A specialized foundation solution was therefore required to
safely transfer structural loads and ensure long-term performance.
Our Solution:
Srusti Constructions engineered a
reinforced foundation system by excavating and filling the abandoned
well with properly compacted 11-foot-deep graded aggregate piling
to create a stable load-bearing base. The foundation was then
integrated with the structural footing system, ensuring uniform load
distribution and enhanced ground stability for the proposed building.
Outcome:
he foundation achieved the required
structural stability, eliminating the risks associated with the
abandoned well. The building was successfully constructed on a
strengthened base, providing long-term safety, durability, and reliable
structural performance.
